Felixstowe Book Festival 2021 – another triumph!

Whiplash Injuries and Road Traffic Accidents
The Felixstowe Book Festival, held this year at Harvest House from 25th to 27th June, attracted capacity audiences for many of the visiting authors.

“I’m delighted that, despite everything, the Festival took place in real life and on-line over the weekend and was an enormous success,” explained Festival Director, Meg Reid. “It was wonderful to see speakers at the live events and we had a socially distanced – but still very well attended -audience for the events at Harvest House. Both the audience and speakers were so happy to be back. Our thanks to everyone who helped to make the 2021 Felixstowe Book Festival such a success, especially the residents of Harvest House who came to our rescue when we found ourselves homeless with only a few weeks to go!”

Alongside the thirteen celebrated authors such as Festival Patrons Terry Waite and Esther Freud, Jojo Moyes, and Iain Dale who visited Felixstowe; a second group was interviewed online. The authors appearing in the ‘virtual’ festival included Carol Drinkwater, Elly Griffiths, Henry Hemming, and Anthony Horowitz.

Budding authors and playwrights also attended in person for the popular workshops and the Festival bookshop was kept busy selling books for the authors to sign.  Refreshments were served, and all enjoyed access to the beautiful gardens in the lovely weather.

The 2022 Felixstowe Book Festival will be held from 24th to 26th June 2022.
