Suffolk Remembers

Every year on Suffolk Day, 21st June, St Elizabeth Hospice holds the Suffolk Remembers event at the Felixstowe Seafront Gardens. Following the Government’s positive announcement of their roadmap to ease lockdown, we are pleased to confirm this year we are able to continue with our traditional in memory event.

We will once again light up the beautiful gardens and spell out ‘SUFFOLK REMEMBERS’ with 5,000 tea-light candles in memory and celebration of loved one/s. The candles will be lit at sunset on the longest day of the year and span across the gardens and left to shine bright all week until Friday 25th June for people to pay their respects.

Everyone is welcome to dedicate a candle, not just those who have used the services of the Hospice, but everyone in Suffolk who may have lost someone dear to them due to COVID-19 and other illnesses. Suffolk Remembers gives the opportunity to come together, to light a candle and celebrate on Suffolk Day those we wish to remember.
